Carboxytherapy is a novelty on the world market. This therapy uses the highly positive effect of CO2 (carbon dioxide) to improve blood circulation, metabolism and tissue regeneration by application to the subcutaneous tissue at the site of administration.

HOW THE TREATMENT PROGRESSES
The method does not require anaesthesia. The treatment is safe and non-toxic, because CO2 is naturally formed by cells in the body every day of our lives. Using small needles, medicinal carbon dioxide – CO2 – is applied into the subcutaneous tissue. The procedure is not painful, because CO2 is delivered with a very thin to microscopic needle. The patient hardly feels the injection of the thin needle. He or she may feel a slight pinch or sting at and around the site of administration. Ideally carboxytherapy is administer at least twice a week, in which case improvement can be expected after about 4-6 sessions; with application once a week, some 6-10 sessions are needed to see improvements. In aesthetic dermatology, the ability to induce the reconstruction of intradermal collagen is primarily used. This effect is visible relatively rapidly (usually after only two treatments).
