Course of treatment with a fractional CO2 laser
This is fractional peeling or resurfacing (renewal of the skin’s surface) with the CO2 laser, which in the place of impact deeply overheats the skin. The system pours thousands of laser light rays onto the skin. The undisturbed area of the skin serves as storage area for rapid healing of tissue deliberately damaged by the laser.
During treatment the upper third of the skin is removed. The remaining two-thirds is affected by the heat. The renewal of cells begins from the area of skin untouched by the treatment. The thermal effect of the laser removes cells which correspond to pigment patches that arose as a result of aging.
Result and time of rejuvenation after treatment with a Fractional CO2 laser
The period of rejuvenation depends on the intensity of the laser rays and is typically 2 to 5 days. The treatment lasts approximately 15-20 minutes. The number of repeated treatments is individual, depending on the diagnosis of the skin, the depth of the wrinkles, elasticity of the skin, age and the like. The best results are achieved after 3-5 repeated treatments in a time range of 3-5 weeks.
