Stem cells for regenerating the skin

The Rigenera device is specially designed and manufactured for clinical applications of regeneration procedures using autologous micrografts obtained from the patient. With Rigenera, the patient is both the donor and the recipient of calibrated micrografts during the procedure. This one-step procedure greatly enriches the number of stem cells involved in the procedure in the places where skin needs to be regenerated.

How does the procedure run?

At the beginning of the procedure itself, disinfection without alcohol of the treated area as well as sites from which the tissue will be removed

is essential. The attending physician will look for fatty places on the hairline with plenty of follicles available. A small fat-free piece of tissue is taken under local anaesthesia and necrosis using a sterile punching tool. The tissue in the sterile capsule, together with the solution, is then inserted into the Rigenera apparatus. After 1 minute, we receive a cell suspension that we can apply.

How the treatment proceeds

A small tissue sample containing hair follicles is taken from areas not affected by androgenetic hair loss. The extracted tissue has to be processed in a very sterile environment, and by centrifuging in the RIGENERA instrument, we achieve separation of potential regenerative cells, and later these cells are transplanted into the area where we want to restore hair growth.
