NEWLY CREATED COLLAGEN
70%
– carboxymethylcellulose (CMC), cellulose gel with glycerine
30%
– uniform microspheres of calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA); CaHA is a
natural component of our body that forms the mineral part of bones
and teeth.
Calcium
hydroxyapatite, also known as Radiesse, is a so-called stimulatory
filler, the effect of which is neocollagenesis, or new collagen
formation. Collagen is necessary for elasticity, but collagen
production slows down with age, and so the skin loses its elasticity
and youthful appearance.
With
a single application we achieve a double effect – immediate
replenishment of the missing volume and at the same time gradual
stimulation of the production of your own collagen. The duration of
the effect depends on the age, skin type, metabolism and lifestyle of
the patient. On average the effect lasts for two years. Several
clinical studies have demonstrated the safety and efficacy of the
filler.
Why
is collagen so important?
Collagen
forms the structure of bones, ligaments, tendons, cartilage, joints
and skin. It has a positive effect on the human body because it
supports the work of cells that make up human tissue.
Areas
suitable for application:
- face
- nasal-oral furrows – their smoothing
- jaw
- chin – emphasizes a small chin
- hands – the hiding of protruding veins
Course of application
The
filler is applied by cannula into the subcutaneous tissue. The
application itself lasts about 10-30 minutes, and it is not painful,
because the filler also contains a small amount of local anaesthetic.
Volume is added immediately after application and gradually begins to
stimulate collagen production. After treatment, the patient can
return to his or her daily activities.
Reactions
that can occur after the procedure include, for example, swelling,
redness and bruising, which disappear within a few days.
This
treatment is not recommended for people allergic to lidocaine or any
of the other ingredients, with bleeding disorders, or those who are
pregnant or are breast-feeding.
